Open studio with Aerovi Aerovi 7/5 ?

Yesterday I received a message that the artist we are going to present at "the open studio" event is ill. We hope she recovers quickly and can come as planned. It is with great interest that we have invited her. We have tried to buy a work of art from her, a so-called NFT, without succeeding. We opened an account for cryptocurrency and felt completely naked and undressed online, but the next procedure became so difficult that we gave it up.  After a while we were told that the money we had deposited would be taken away if we didn`t fill in all the details again, something we didn´t do because we rather stuck our heads into the sand.
Regardless of whether Aevori is ill or not, we keep the studio open on Saturday. There will be art, bubbles and hopefully a good atmosphere!  Feel welcome if you  are nearby! The opening hours is from 16-00 - 19.00!

Playa Players world premiere!

I just have to tell about something completely different that happened last weekend. It was the world premiere for Playa Players at El Capitan, the band that Orion is a part of! It was great fun! PlayaPlayers is  a cover band with an ear for a good party! I had the pleasure of drawing the back-drop. The dance tore out my feet, but gave a wonderful feeling that life is going on again, as life was before the pandemic. No masks as far as the eye could see. Just seeing the whole face of people was a real joy! So thank you Playa Players and the wonderful people at El Capitan for an unforgettable experience! Can't wait for next time!

Friendship on the road

 I want to finish a big painting before the open studio on Saturday. Some topics come up again and again. This painting is inspired by some pictures I took in Senegal many years ago. For once, I paint with color! For me, this theme is important in so many ways. Friends are some of the best things we humans can have in life. Some come and some leave on the long life road, but they all form important parts of the life path that we create along the way. In these days when war divides an entire world, it is important to be able to focus on love and friendship. At least it gives me comfort and meaning to do so. Below you can take part in the painting process. First a charcoal sketch and then delicious oil paint on the canvas. The sound and the smell gives me peace in my mind!
